Cost Per Square Foot: Homes In Piedmont That Have A Higher Price Tag

You get what you pay for, the old saying goes.

That's true for homes as much as anything.

With that in mind, we thought we'd take a look this week at houses that cost more per square foot that most homes in their area.

There are a lot of reasons for the higher price tag. Location is probably the main reason. There can also be amenities as well as the size of the yard.

In Piedmont, this five-bedroom, six-bathroom home at 150 Requa Road is listed at $7.4 million.

It's 7,281 square feet, which means its costs about $1,000 per square foot.

The residence is listed as "simply exquisite" with a large wine cellar, three-car garage and manicured gardens.
