Anna Pilloton, the Director of Outreach and School relations Coordinator at the College of Marin, will present the benefits of attending a community college on October 2nd in the PHS library from 7-8:30pm.
Although 4 year schools get all the hype, 2 year colleges are cheaper and can be used as a launching point to a bachelors degree. Ms. Pilloton will present on the current college landscape and why community college as a pathway to transfer to four year colleges and universities is a wonderful choice. She will review the benefits of a 2 year community college including cost savings and smaller class sizes with qualified professors. Other topics to include the California master plan, core courses and expectations, transfer pathways for UC, CSU and private schools, and college success.
