Piedmont GPS (Gifted/GATE Parent Support) meeting

Parents and teachers are invited to attend the Piedmont GPS (Gifted/GATE Parent Support) meeting on Monday, October 17, 7:00 pm, at the Havens library. This is your opportunity to share your concerns and give us feedback. Parent input is critical for improving options for gifted students. How are your child's needs being met? What suggestions do you have for improvement?

We will break into smaller groups - by school -- to discuss/collect feedback on issues for gifted and twice-exceptional students. New assistant superintendent Randall Booker will be attending.

At the meeting we will also introduce the Piedmont GPS Board and share our goals. We'll make plans to join PUSD teachers to attend a one day California Association of Gifted conference on "Maximizing Student Potential:
Cultivating Creativity & Critical Thinking" on November 12 in American Canyon (near Vallejo).

We look forward to seeing you. Please RSVP by 10/12 to Elizabeth Shook at gwshook@aol.com.

This event is hosted by Piedmont GPS, a non-profit advocacy group for parents of gifted and twice-exceptional students in grades K-12 in the Piedmont school district.
