Piedmont High School Career Day

The Piedmont Boy Scout Council and the Piedmont High School College & Career Center will host a Career Day for all Piedmont High School and Millennium High School Students, grades 9-12.

Career Day is offered every other year, and it has been ongoing for almost 40 years. It is a joint effort between the Piedmont Boy Scouts and Piedmont High's College & Career Center.

The format of Career Day 2011 consists of roughly 30 one-hour long seminars -- each one led by two speakers in a related field, who repeat the seminar for a second group of students. This year there are 65 speakers, representing careers from engineering, law and medical research to art, music, teaching, computer gaming, renewable energy and community building non-profits.

Many of the speakers live in Piedmont, but some speakers that have committed to giving their time hail from other communities. Speakers span the experience range from recent college grads to CEO'S of major corporations.
