The Harvest Festival was well attended by the community on Sunday, Sept. 30. The warm weather made for brisk sales of snow cones and lots of willing participants in the Pitch Burst water balloon game. As usual, the cake walk was a popular event with big smiles from the winners. Piedmont High School students and parent volunteers helped man booths for the event.
In addition to the games, there was live music, scarecrows on display for a silent auction, art displays and a public safety mini-fair with emergency vehicles that kids and adults were allowed to explore.
Watch for results of the cooking and gardening competitions soon.
