New Piedmont School Board Members Sworn In

The "new" PUSD Board of Education re-elected Roy Tolles as president and Rick Raushenbush as vice president

It was likely the shortest school board meeting that the new members of the Piedmont Unified School District's Board of Education will attend over the course of their service – but it got the job done.

City Clerk John Tulloch officiated at the swearing-in ceremony Wednesday afternoon at the district offices for Sarah Pearson and Andrea Swenson, newly elected to the board, and for re-elected incumbent Rick Raushenbush.

After the ceremony, the newly constituted board re-elected Roy Tolles as president and Raushenbush as vice president.

A reception for attendees followed the ceremony, honoring the service of outgoing school board members Martha Jones and June Monach and welcoming the new members who won office in the Feb. 7 Piedmont Municipal Election.
