So you want to be on the Piedmont Unified School District's Board of Education—it's time to start planning.
The terms of three of the five current members expire in February. Rick Raushenbush and Martha Jones are finishing up their first four-year terms; June Monach is completing her second, so, since board members can only serve two consecutive terms, she can't run again in the next round.
Nomination forms will be available starting Oct. 17 and are due to the City Clerk's Office by Nov. 11, 2011. Election day is Feb. 7, 2012. You can view the full timetable in the PDF to the right.
