School Board to Adopt New Budget Wednesday
A public hearing will precede adoption of the 2013-14 budget at Wednesday evening's meeting.
The Piedmont Unified School District's board of education will hold a public hearing on the district's 2013-14 budget, then approve a budget for the coming fiscal year on Wednesday, June 26.
Also on Wednesday's agenda:
—Adding two more professional development days for staff to the 2013-14 instructional calendar, as part of the collective bargaining agreement with the Association of Piedmont Teachers approved June 12. The action would not change the already approved student attendance days.
—A resolution supporting reform in Proposition 13 to include changes in how commercial property is assessed.
The board meets in public session Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the City Hall council chambers, 120 Vista Ave. The complete agenda for the meeting and related staff reports are available on the PUSD website here.
