Update: The Giving Campaign for Piedmont Schools

The annual fundraising campaign for Piedmont's public schools appears to be moving along briskly.

The Giving Campaign for Piedmont's schools now stands at 49 percent parent participation, with a total of $1,398,000 raised so far, according the campaign's website.

This year's goals: 100 percent family participation and minimum of $1.6 million in donations.

Last year's Giving Campaign raised more than $1.6 million, with $1,566,000 going to the Associated Parents Clubs of Piedmont and $85,000 to the Piedmont Education Foundation's Endowment Fund.
