From a PMS Boosters press release:

The Highlanders finished their season with a strong performance at the Foothill Invitational Volleyball Tournament. On Wednesday they beat Orinda Intermediate 25-15, 25-17 in the early match, then beat Martinez in three 25-23, 20-25, 15-6 in the late match. That pair of wins gave the Highlanders a spot in the semi-finals on Thursday.

Piedmont faced a strong Stanley team that earlier in the season handed the girls one of only three losses in the regular season, a close match that went to three games. The team didn't let that history affect them, coming out hitting in game one for a dominating 25-5 win. Stanley came back in game two with an excellent serving performance, jumping out to a 21-5 lead. The Highlanders fought back and made it close in a 25-17 loss. For the final game, the lead went back and forth, with Stanley pulling ahead at the end for a 15-9 win.

The Highlanders took home 3rd place, a big trophy, medals, and a bunch of happy smiles.
