On Your Mark, Get Set, GO! The Piedmont Unified School District's Wellness Center is pleased to announce the first annual FallFest 5K run/walk. This inaugural event is designed to raise community awareness of The Wellness Center and the funds needed to support its mission. FallFest 5K will take place on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 8:00 am Start time (7:00 am check-in) from the Piedmont Community Hall.
Proceeds from this community run/walk will help sustain the school district’s vibrant Wellness Center which currently serves students in grades 6-12, providing student leadership opportunities, counseling services and health education. The student bodies at Piedmont High School, Millennium High School, and Piedmont Middle School rely on the services and programs offered through The Wellness Center to help meet the demands that a rigorous, high quality education place on them. The Wellness Center not only serves students, it serves the whole community by creating healthier, more resilient young people.
