UNDER-9 GIRLS

Danville Mustang Blaze 4, Highlanders 0
The Highlanders suffered a tough loss on a rainy day. Keeper Maria Chan deflected numerous attacks and kept the Blaze scoreless in the first half. Anna de Petra also blocked the barrage of shots on goal. Caroline Wiesbrock and Charlotte Pendergast played tough defense, but it was not enough to hold back the best team in the league.

Highlanders 1, San Ramon Azuri White 0
The Highlanders dominated the field, but just squeaked out a 1-0 win. Daniella Skov hammered shots on goal while Marlowe McEffee, Caroline Devine and Charlotte Pendergast kept defense tight. Second half saw Roni Schacker firing on goal. Roxy Moss finally planted one inside, breaking the 0-0 tie. Kami Zimmer, goalie hero, blocked a last-second hard line drive with her face!

UNDER-9 BOYS

Highlanders 2, RSC Transformers 0
After his first shot went wide, Ricardo Barker scored from deep left at an impossible angle. Hunter Disco had a couple of great saves in goal to hold on to the lead, and Matthias Haas put it out of reach with a goal from the center in the second half.

The Superstars shut out the Bombers with goals by Milo Filler, Ben Levinson, and Preston Dotson, who had two. Fantastic goalkeeping in the game was provided by Cutter Mitchell and Nicholas Lalli. Gavin Kordestani played a great game on offense. Christian Hohener and Will Shields gave great defensive efforts.

Highlanders 2, Rockridge Sting 2
Joe Sassi and Miles Dyke scored early in the first half, Cooper Ford and Dylan Han played strong defense, and Owen Levinson did well in goal. The Sting mounted a furious comeback in the second half, tying the score at 2. But the Highlanders held on with good defense from Sam Reynolds and Will Suppiger, and goaltending by Leonardo Portal.

Piedmont Tasmanian Devils 0, RSC Sabers 0
With no substitutions, the Devils continued their rock-solid defense, holding a very strong Sabers squad to a nil-nil tie. Stoutly protected by defenders Daniel Alderman, Hunter Stern, and Donovan Capsimalis, goal keeper Paul Woolcot kept his season record unblemished by a single goal. Joey Lalli, Blake Meyers, and Spencer Leader made valiant but thwarted offensive efforts.

UNDER-12 GIRLS

Purple Dynamite 1, Wondergirls 6
Zanab Sayeed scored the Dynamite's only goal despite great offensive pressure from Mia Arthur and Kerry O'Connor. Samantha Merigold, Rebecca Glick, Eva Mills and Kayla Lim played tough on defense against a relentless attack.

UNDER-14 GIRLS

Piedmont Five Ps 1, Rockridge Forza 0
Maggie White had the only goal in a 1-0 Piedmont victory. With only 9 players against 11, Anna Konstantopoulos, Maura Philips, Madison Tenney, Olivia Arabit, Chloe Lee Rowlands, Sierra Singer, Courtney Gao, Emma Seevak, and heroine of the day, Maggie White, battled magnificently. Maura Philip's tireless running was an inspiration to the team

UNDER-14 BOYS

U-13 Highlanders 3, U-14 Highlanders 2
In a rematch between these two Piedmont teams one week after the U-14's won 3-0, the U-13's scored early on a goal by David Monical. Peter Lord tied the game at 1-1 on a nice pass from Andrew Liu. The U-13's took a 2-1 lead into halftime on a goal by Julian Orban. Kalen Davison put the U-13's up 3-1 before Andrew Liu's goal for the U-14's narrowed the lead to 3-2. But the U-13's withstood the U-14's flurry of shots late in the game to hold on to a narrow 3-2 victory.

Piedmonts 2, RSC Falcon-Spirits 2
This was the best game of the season for the Piedmonts, whose scoring was as follows: Devan Joseph passed to Gus Gilbert who fed Teddy Staley who first-timed the shot into the net. Gus Gilbert, on a pass from Mason Willrich, blasted a 25-yard shot into the corner of the goal. Also noteworthy were Jimmy Roach and Spencer Chan who played well.
