Get Out: Hikes for Tykes, Sunday Strolls

Big kids, little kids, parents — explore the Oakland hills with East Bay Regional Park District naturalists on these free walks and hikes.

Explore the hills with your kids this summer — the East Bay Regional Park District is offering two series of free, naturalist-led hikes, one for parents and young children, the other open to anyone but especially recommended for families with older children.

Hikes for Tykes

These Tuesday morning walks let parents and their young children explore local flora and fauna with guidance from a park naturalist. They run from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and average about one mile. Bring a snack. Strollers are not recommended for most of these hikes.
