What's Happening in City Hall

On the city council agenda tonight: a ballot measure to refinance debt to the California Public Employees Retirement System.

What's ahead in Piedmont this week:

The Piedmont City Council meets tonight at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall, 120 Vista Ave., to consider awarding contracts for a Harvard Road sanitary sewer rehabilitation project and for street tree pruning. The council is also expected to endorse a measure on the Feb. 4, 2014 ballot to for bonds or debt to refinance debt to the California Public Employees Retirement System. The Park Commission meets Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall to hear updates on the Ramona Ronada Triangle construction project, the Dracena Park bridge project, street tree pruning and winter storm damage. Commissioners will also hear a presentation about a possible gleaning project by Piedmont Middle School students. See the complete agenda here.

The Public Safety Committee meets Thursday, Nov. 7, a 5:30 p.m. at City Hall to discuss cosponsoring a disaster preparedness forum with the Piedmont Fire Department. The committee will also hear updates on Neighborhood Watch meetings and implementation of the city's Code RED public notification system. See the complete agenda here.
