Arts and Crafts Fair: The Montclair Sidewalk Fine Arts and Crafts Fall Fest returns Saturday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sponsored by the Montclair Village Association, this free event showcases works from more than 70 artists and crafters who will line Mountain Boulevard, displaying a wide array of handcrafted work that includes garments, sculptures, photography, watercolor and oil paintings, jewelry, and ceramics.
All of the artists will be on hand to visit with patrons while some will be demonstrating their craft during the show.

A "good guys" motorcycle club open house: The Los Carnales Motorcycle Club will host its annual open house Saturday, Oct. 5 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the clubhouse, 4425 Piedmont Ave. The program includes catered food, entertainment and a custom car and motorcycle show.

For those who have doubts — club members are all present or former law enforcement officers, while the associated La Familia Motorcycle Club includes their family and friends. The group volunteers its time each year to provide traffic control for the annual Halloween parade on Piedmont Avenue.
