Established in 1952, the East Bay Agency for Children is a nonprofit organization that offers educational and mental health services to children of low-income families suffering behavioral and emotional challenges and difficulties. The East Bay Agency for Children offers a number of programs to provide these services, including mental health counseling at school sites, Child Assault Prevention, intensive mental health therapy (which takes place in specialized classrooms), Circle of Care (which offers illness and grief support services) and student and community family support services. The East Bay Agency for Children's mission is to "build brighter futures and stronger communities by promoting the health, safety and educational success of our children and youth, and their families."
