Piedmont Adult School

<p>The Piedmont Adult School, started in the 1970s, is part of the Piedmont Unified School District's commitment to lifelong learning.</p> <p>The adult school offers hundreds of enrichment classes each quarter in subjects ranging from investing and web design to calligraphy and bellydance to chocolate making and bagpiping.</p> <p>The school encompasses Piedmont's Creative Retirement Center, which organizes a variety of free arts and social programs every Thursday at Veterans Memorial Building.</p> <p>The school also offers an independent study program for students looking to complete the coursework requirements for their high school diploma and is licensed by the California DMV to provide mandated traffic violator classes.</p> <p>Classes are held in various community facilities around Piedmont, including the Veterans Memorial Building, Ellen Driscoll Playhouse, and Piedmont High School.</p>
