The City Administrator acts as the chief operating officer for Piedmont, carrying out the day-to-day implementation…More of policies and projects approved by the City Council.</p> <p>Among the city administrator's duties are proposing an annual municipal budget and delivering recommendations on matters that come before the council. The city administrator may also act as Piedmont's representative in meetings with governmental agencies and other outside entities.</p> <p>City department heads report to the city administrator. The administration, construction, use and maintenance of Piedmont's infrastructure also falls under his or her purview.</p> <p>You'll find the city administrator behind the administration desk at City Hall during regular business hours and at city meetings many evenings.</p>

A new city seal commemorating Piedmont's centennial was hung in council chambers in 2007. Executive sessions are often held in the conference room across the hall. Public notices of meetings and other community announcements are posted on the bulletin boards just outside the conference room.</p> <p>The city administrator's and city clerk's offices are straight back, behind on the administration desk, as are the Finance and Human Resources departments.</p> <p>The Public Works Department is on the right just past the public restrooms.</p> <p>The public entrance to the Fire Department is at the back of the building to the left of the administration desk. </p> <p>KCOM, Piedmont's government and educational access television station, produces its broadcasts on the lower level.</p>
