Among the city administrator's duties are proposing an annual municipal budget and delivering recommendations on matters that come before the council. The city administrator may also act as Piedmont's representative in meetings with governmental agencies and other outside entities.
City department heads report to the city administrator. The administration, construction, use and maintenance of Piedmont's infrastructure also falls under his or her purview.
