Please allow me to introduce myself

Ladies and gentlemen please allow me to introduce myself. I am Art Spy—notice the clever play on words—and I will be your guide to the burgeoning art scene here in Alameda County.

It, the art movement, is blossoming as an ever increasing number of artist are finding their way to the East Bay.

My mission, and I have chosen to accept it, is to ferret out the not so hidden art scene in our area and expose myself, and you, to art.

Now to create a little paranoia in the art scene

Artist, sculptures, poets, painters, writers, photographers, dancers, musicians, ceramic and textile workers, brewers and cooks, muralist and graffiti artist, gallery owners and jewelers, private collectors all beware. That person innocently asking questions and snapping pictures of your art just may be me.

Let me also state here and now, “I am a gatherer of information, not an analyst.” This means I am not out there to formally critique anything, though I will, this is going to be pure unadulterated opinion.

Some may like it some may not. For those interested in a “person’s”, going to try and preserve some anonymity, opinion about art in the county you are in the right place.

From Fremont to Albany and Dublin to Alameda, art scene folks be aware the art spy has been activated.
