What's Open, What's Closed on Veterans Day
Here's a look at at what will be open and closed on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11, 2013.
Open:
Some businesses, especially retail and restaurants.
Normal weekday parking enforcement will take place in Oakland despite the holiday.
Closed:
City offices (Piedmont and Oakland); county, state and federal government offices; Piedmont public schools and school district offices; Alameda County Superior Court; banks.
It's a holiday for the United States Postal Service so there will be no mail service on Monday. Since this is a federal holiday, federal agencies that haven't already been closed by the government shutdown will be closed.
