Police Screen 519 Vehicles at Memorial Day Weekend DUI Checkpoint

Results of the DUI checkpoint Friday night that was announced by Piedmont police last week.

Police officers screened 519 vehicles at a multijurisdictional DUI and driver's license checkpoint on Grand Avenue the evening of Friday, May 24, according to a press release from the Piedmont Police Department.

No one was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, but four drivers were cited for not being properly licensed, Piedmont police Sgt. Robert Wells said in the release.

By the numbers:

—25 drivers interviewed.

—8 field sobriety tets conducted.

—4 drivers cited for not being properly licensed to drive.

—0 arrests on suspicion of DUI.

—0 vehicles towed.
