Registration for Piedmont Special Election Closes Feb. 18

Need to register or change your voter registration address before the special election on Piedmont's school parcel tax? Here's how.

From the Alameda County Registrar of Voters:

The deadline to register to vote for the March 5, 2013 Piedmont USD Special Election is Monday, Feb. 18, 2013.

Alameda County residents must be citizens, 18 years old and not in prison or on parole for the conviction of a felony to be eligible to register to vote.

Voter registration affidavits are available at the Registrar of Voter’s office, libraries, fire stations and post offices. You can also apply to register to vote right now by filling in the onlineapplication through California Secretary of State’s website at www.registertovote.ca.gov.

Completed affidavits must be delivered to the Registrar of Voter’s office at 1225 Fallon St., Room G-1, Oakland, CA 94612 or postmarked by Feb. 18 in order to be valid for this election.
