Everyone's Squawking About It! Piedmont High Presents the 48th Annual Bird Calling Contest

As reliably as the swallows return to San Juan Capistrano, a new generation of Piedmont students is busily preparing to compete in Piedmont High School’s annual bird calling competition. The contest has been held every year since 1963, becoming one of Piedmont’s most beloved events in a city known for tradition. Equal parts ornithology, drama and humor, the contest makes a delightful evening of light-hearted family entertainment.

This year’s contest will take place on Friday, May 10th, at 7PM in the Alan Harvey Theater, located on the Piedmont High School campus, 800 Magnolia Avenue, Piedmont, California. Tickets for general admission are $10 adults and $8 for K-12 students and seniors over the age of 65.  Alleviate the need to arrive early to get a good seat by purchasing Reserved Seating for $15.  Purchase tickets on-line at http://events.constantcontact.com/register/event?llr=qihksziab&oeidk=a07e7e0aaojd87c140b. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the box office on the day of the event.

In addition to bragging rights, the top three finishers in the competition will be heading to New York where they have once again been invited to appear on The Late Show with David Letterman.
