Community Corner

COMMUNITY COLLEGE INFORMATIONAL EVENT

On October 3rd in the PHS Library from 7-8:30pm Anna Pilloton, Outreach and School Relations Coordinator at the College of Marin, will present the benefits of attending a community college. Two-year colleges are less expensive and can be used as a launching point to a bachelors degree. Ms. Pilloton will discuss the current college landscape and why community college as a pathway to transfer to four year colleges and universities is a wonderful choice. She will review the benefits of cost savings and smaller class sizes with qualified professors. Other topics will include the California master plan, core courses and expectations, transfer pathways for UC, CSU and private schools, and college success. This event is sponsored by the PHS College and Career Center and is free and open to all students and parents at PHS and Millennium.
