600 Years of American History in Just One Week
In the second summer session of the Recreation Department's Drama Rocks program, young thespians are learning "The Complete History of America, Abridged."
A group of 8 to 12 year olds will be performing historical vaudville sketches and parodies in a free show at Piedmont High School's Alan Harvey theater this Friday at 4 p.m.
Director Randy McCommons has been teaching drama through the for 32 years. In the past week, he's guided the group through fast-paced sequences, word-association games and 600 years of history, though some of the facts may be askew.
