'Baja Piedmont' Launches Neighborhood Watch

The program kicks off officially with a town hall meeting Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the Beach School auditorium.

Piedmont residents living west of Grand Avenue will officially kick off the Baja Piedmont Nighborhood Watch program with a town hall Saturday, April 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Beach Elementary School auditorium, 100 Lake Ave., Piedmont.

The Watch's 19 block captains will be on hand, along with Pedmont Police Chief Rikki Goede, Vice Mayor Margaret Fujioka, Councilman Garrett Keating and members of the city's Public Safety Committee.

Residents will have a chance to ask questions and learn how to become involved in their block's Neighorhood Watch group.

The program is a partnership between the block-based community groups and the Piedmont Police Department.
