Blair Park Development Backers Plan Rally
PRFO wants to drum up support ahead of City Council's final vote on the project.
With an announcement of plans for a rally in support of the proposed development of Blair Park, the backers of the project have unveiled a new slogan and a tentative date for a final public hearing.
The Piedmont Recreational Facilities Organization (PRFO), which has been campaigning for its proposal to construct sports fields at Blair under the banner "Support the Gift!", is now using the catch phrase "Blair Park is Everybody's Park".
From 10 a.m. to noon Sunday at Piedmont Park, PRFO will be showing off the final master plan for Blair, which was . The group is encouraging adults and kids to show up Sunday in Blair Park t-shirts or sports uniforms.
PRFO is saying it expects City Council to hold a final hearing on the project Dec. 5.
