The Berkeley Repertory Theater has started a new holiday tradition with Arabian Nights, the story of Scheherazade and her many tales. Before the performance on Dec. 18, you can chat with friends about your other holiday plans over free samplings of wine from Artesa Vineyards & Winery.

5. Host a gift wrapping party.

Tell your friends to bring over a roll or two of festive paper or roll of tape and pull all the holiday gifts out of their hiding places. Heat up some hot chocolate, put on the Christmas music and let the wrapping begin!
