Bay Wolf Benefits Art Institute This Month
Piedmont Avenue restaurant will donate a portion of proceeds to Kala Art Institute
Bay Wolf Restaurant, the Piedmont Avenue culinary institution, will help the East Bay's Kala Art Institute celebrate its 38th Anniversary by donating a portion of its proceeds this month to the art studio and honoring two local artists whose works have long been displayed in the restaurant.
Between April 15 and 20, Bay Wolf diners can just mention to their server the word "Kala" and 20 percent of their dinner will be automatically earmarked for the art institute.
Kala Art Institute's mission is to help artists sustain their creative efforts over time through its artist-in-residence and fellowship programs and to increase appreciation of that work through exhibitions, public programming and educational efforts. Kala's printmaking and multimedia studios are located in Berkeley.

Bay Wolf is also honoring local art world luminaries Rupert Garcia and Deborah Oropallo. Both artists (whose works have long been featured on the walls of the restaurant) will be highlighted on April 28 at "Kala-fornia: State of the Art 2," Kala's Anniversary Exhibition and Gala Auction.
