Kids: Recite the Pledge, Get Free Ice Cream

Fenton's Creamery is taking part in "I Pledge for Ice Cream," a national campaign that rewards children 12 and younger with a free scoop of ice cream if they can recite the Pledge of Allegiance from memory.

Children 12 and younger who can recite the Pledge of Allegiance from memory will be rewarded with a free scoop of ice cream on the patio at on Sunday, July 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. and all day on Wednesday, July 4.

It's part of a national campaign called "I Pledge for Ice Cream," which started at Leopold's Ice Cream in Savannah, GA, and has spread to ice cream shops across the country.
