Piedmont Homes Sold in October 2012

Fourteen homes closed escrow in Piedmont last month.

Fourteen homes sold in Piedmont during October 2012, an increase over eight sales the previous month. They included four homes that had been on the market for two months or more.

Most were in the lower to middle part of the price range, with escrow closing on only two homes priced at over $2 million — and for one of those, the sales price fell below the $2 million mark.

A tally shows that three homes sold for under $1 million; three for $1 million to $1,499,000; seven for $1.5 million to $1,999,000; and one for above $2 million.

Sales were moe than double the same time period last year; only six homes closed escrow in October 2011.
