Sales Slow Down, But Some Homes Lingering on Market Find Buyers

Six Piedmont homes sold last month.

For the second month in a row, home sales were in the single digits as the volume in the Piedmont real estate market began its typical fall decline.

The month did bring good news for several sellers — four properties that had been on the market for two to six months found buyers during October. One of those homes, on Sunnyside Avenue, sold for slightly above its asking price, the others for slightly less.

Sales prices were spread across the spectrum, with two sales under $1 million, three in the $1 million-$2 million range and one over $2 million.
