Thursday, April 26th kicks off a busy weekend of fun and giving. Each of these incredible charitable organizations invite you to Socialize 4 a Cause. www.socialize4acause.com - their cause. Each charity event benefits children in need or at risk. 

I would like to commend all of the hard-working and dedicated women and men, including the volunteers, leaders, sponsors and yourself, the attendees, for your support. It truly takes an army.

  • Come celebrate the 21st Annual Fund-raising Event benefiting the Oakland Elizabeth House, Thursday, April 26th at the Claremont Country Club, 5295 Broadway Terrace beginning at 10:30AM with reception, boutique and silent auction followed by a luncheon and live auction featuring speaker and honorable guest, Carol A. Corrigan, Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court. www.oakehouse.org
  • The Heart of the Home Tour:  The Children Support League’s 24th Annual Heart of the Home Tour – is this Friday, April 27th and Saturday, April 28th from 10-4PM daily. Five beautiful homes will be on tour including one designer showcase house. Don't miss the boutique at the Piedmont Community Center at 711 Highland Avenue with an array of vendors. You do not have to purchase a home tour ticket to shop. Proceeds benefit children at risk. Each year CSL gives approximately $250,000 to 24 charities.   • Notes and Words: A benefit for Children's Hospital Research Center in Oakland will be held at the Fox Theatre on Saturday, April 28th.  Bestselling authors and platinum recording artists will take the stage at The Fox Theater - Don't miss, Internationally renowned recording artists, CAKE, plus other local musicians as well as acclaimed authors Kelly Corrigan, Anne Lamott plus much, much more.   • Wood Tavern celebrates their 5th Anniversary with a charity event benefiting EBAC, the East Bay Agency for Children.
