The Berkeley Branch of the California Writers Club is hosting an open-house event celebrating the 10th anniversary of California Writers Week with a literary-themed cake contest and food-related readings. Everyone who attends can vote for the winners, who will receive gift certificates from event sponsors La Farine Bakery and Pegasus Books. After the prizes are awarded, the contest cakes will be sliced up and distributed for all present. So we can have our cake and eat it too!
