Piedmont's Christmas Tree Lights Up on Wednesday Night

Volunteers from the Piedmont Garden Club worked Monday and Tuesday to check the hundreds of lights and to assist Public Works Supervisor Dave Frankel and his crew with decorating the tree.

Piedmont's annual tree lighting ceremony takes place Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. at the Community Hall in Piedmont Park.

Santa and his elves will visit, the Piedmont High School Troubadours will sing carols and the Piedmont Council Boy Scouts will serve refreshments. Candy canes are promised for everyone who's been good during the past year.

Be sure to bundle up for the ceremony, as chilly temperatures are forecast, with possible frost after midnight.
