Dylan is a co-captain on the Piedmont High Varsity team. He is one of the top scorers on the team, and adds a huge presence to the team and on the court.

When asked what his leadership style is, Dylan answered that he feels that inspiring his teammates to do their best, along with knowing the weaknesses of the other team, is the best way in which to captain his team.

"The chemistry of the team this year is the best of my 3 years on varsity," stated Dylan when asked what his favorite thing about the Piedmont team is.

This tight group of eleven boys and multiple helpful coaches have all bonded thoroughly throughout their season and earlier years to form a very close team.

To my surprise, Dylan was a little peeved about Piedmont's entry into the new WAAC (Western Alameda Athletic Conference) division, saying "I knew a lot of the guys on the other teams and it was fun to play against them."

But of course, he was up to the challenge of playing completely new teams.

Recently, Dylan starred in Piedmont High School's rendition of August: Osage County, playing Charles Sr. When asked how he juggled the two very time-consuming commitments, he immediately answered, "Communication!" Between the basketball coaches and the acting teacher, Dylan had to organize his schedules perfectly and luckily never had to choose between the two.

For the future, Dylan is planning on furthering his career in basketball throughout college. Recently, he's been talking to head coaches of preferable colleges, so let's cross our fingers!
