Cancer Claims Life of PHS Science Teacher

Eileen Rohmer succumbed to cancer on Sunday evening, Sept. 16.

Eileen Rohmer, a long-time science teacher at Piedmont High School, died Sunday evening, according to a posting by family members on her cancer blog. Students at PHS and Millenium High School were notified of her death Monday morning.

Rohmer had been undergoing treatment for brain cancer since the autumn of 2011. You may read more about her, and the support she received during her illness from PHS colleagues and students, in PHS Stitches Together Support for Science Teacher.
