Firefighters Knock Down Apartment Fire in East Oakland

Fire officials had not yet determined the cause of the fire at 8:35 p.m. last night.

Firefighters are battled a two-alarm blaze at an apartment in East Oakland Monday night, a fire dispatcher said.
 
The blaze was reported at 8:13 p.m. in the vicinity of Trask and Belvedere streets, according to a fire dispatcher.
 
At 8:35 p.m., the fire had still not been knocked down and the cause remained under investigation.
