Police Blotter: Driver Hits Schoolmates Building at Beach School

The weekend crime report.

Incidents highlighted in the blotter were recorded in the Piedmont Police Department log from noon on Nov. 1 through noon, Nov. 4. Not all incidents recorded in the log are included here. Information was supplied by the police and does not indicate any convictions.

SATURDAY, NOV. 2

Auto burglary — A laptop computer was reported stolen from a truck parked on Lower Grand Avenue.

Hit-and-run — A man driving a white Isuzu hit a fence and a portable building that houses the Schoolmates program at Beach School about 6:20 p.m. A witness said the man drove off in his badly damaged car.

SUNDAY, NOV. 3

Stolen vehicle — A Honda Odyssey was reported stolen from Rose Avenue.

Grand theft — Three mountain bikes were stolen from a carport on Sheridan Avenue.

MONDAY, NOV. 4

Stolen vehicle — A Chevrolet Camaro was reported stolen from Oakland Avenue.
