Police Blotter: Uninvited Guest in Basement

Christmas week was relatively quiet in Piedmont, as the bad guys apparently took a holiday.

Incidents highlighted in the blotter were recorded in the Piedmont Police Department log Dec. 24-28. (Editor's note: only a partial week's log was available Monday. MONDAY, DEC. 24

Uninvited guest — A Ramona Avenue resident reported that while he was away for three days, an unknown person appears to have been living in his basement.

THURSDAY, DEC. 27

Stolen vehicle — A Greenbank Avenue resident reported at 7:34 a.m. that his Acura Legend had been stolen.

FRIDAY, DEC. 28

Identity theft — A Blair Avenue resident reported that someone opened credit card accounts in his name.

Weapons destruction — A local resident turned in guns at the Piedmont Police Department for destruction.
