Christmas week was relatively quiet in Piedmont, as the bad guys apparently took a holiday.

Incidents highlighted in the blotter were recorded in the Piedmont Police Department log Dec. 24-28. (Editor's note: only a partial week's log was available Monday. Piedmont Patch will update when the log for the remaining days is available.) Information was supplied by the police and does not indicate any convictions.

Uninvited guest — A Ramona Avenue resident reported that while he was away for three days, an unknown person appears to have been living in his basement.

THURSDAY, DEC. 27

Stolen vehicle — A Greenbank Avenue resident reported at 7:34 a.m. that his Acura Legend had been stolen.

FRIDAY, DEC. 28

Identity theft — A Blair Avenue resident reported that someone opened credit card accounts in his name.

Weapons destruction — A local resident turned in guns at the Piedmont Police Department for destruction.

My daughter was a camp counselor at this camp last summer. It is a really unique camp. What aRead More great experience for kids. I wish something like this was available when my kids were young. Parents should definitely check it out!!
