City Releases Proposed Operating Schedule, Fees for Pool
The public may comment at Recreation Commission hearing on May 4 on a proposal that takes effect July 1.
The City of Piedmont has released a tentative operating and fee schedule for the Piedmont Community Pool, which the city takes over from the Piedmont Swim Club starting July 1.
The schedule and fees are due for a public hearing before the Piedmont Recreation Commission at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, in the City Council Chamber, 120 Vista Ave.
Based on input from the pool members, the public, the Piedmont Swim Club Board and pool managers, the city of proposes to maintain a pool schedule for 2011 summer and fall that mirrors usage in past years. This way, the city can evaluate pool usage, opportunities and constraints before initiating possible changes to the schedule for the winter and beyond, according to a Recreation Department news release.
