Council to Interview Police Chief Candidates

Special closed session on Nov. 27.

The Piedmont City Council will interview a "short list" of candidates for the position of police chief at a closed session on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 6 p.m. at City Hall.

Former Piedmont Police Chief John Hunt retired in June. PPD Capt. Scott Wyatt has served as interim police chief since Hunt's retirement.

The city hired the recruiting firm of Bob Murray & Associates to conduct a search for candidates for the position and to develop a list of top candidates for the city council to interview.

The city also held a town hall meeting in June to solicit ideas from the public about the selection of a new police chief.

My daughter was a camp counselor at this camp last summer. It is a really unique camp. What aRead More great experience for kids. I wish something like this was available when my kids were young. Parents should definitely check it out!!
