Recreation Commission Picks Betty C. Howard Award Winners

The Piedmont Recreation Commission Wednesday night chose two people for the 2012 Betty C. Howard Awards, according to Recreation Department staff.

The volunteer award will go to Kim Kellogg, a long-time volunteer with the city's annual Harvest Festival, and the staff award will go to Jessica Pomey, an office assistant who splits her time between the Recreation Department's front office and the Schoolmates program.

The annual awards are named for Betty C. Howard, who was a Recreation Department secretary for many years.
