Piedmont's second annual FallFest 5K Walk/Run on Sept. 29 drew 450 participants — up from 320 last year — and raised what organizers expect will total several thousand dollars for the Piedmont Unified School District's Wellness Center.
Overall men's winners were:
- First place, Julian Frost, 17, a member of the Piedmont High School cross-country team, 17:04
- Second place, Steve Zirkelbach, 42, last year's overall winner, 18:25
- Third place, Graham Dean, 15, another member of the PHS cross-country team, 18:33
Overall women's winners were:
- First place, Linn Schulte-Sasse, 35, 20:27
- Second place, Eileen White, 49, 21:11
- Third place, Wendi Lelke Wallway, 38, 22:07
