Weekend Things: Poetry, Art, and Shopping

Musicians are playing, poets are reading, and artists are displaying their wares this weekend.

FRIDAY


Stewart Florsheim's latest collection of poetry has been said to possess, “...chillingly beautiful language that draws the reader into myriad worlds.” He'll be reading from A Split Second of Light.

The juried Pacific Fine Arts Festival organized by the Montclair Village Association draws over 90 professional artists from all around the western U.S. Many mediums will be represented including painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry and more.

When: Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

SATURDAY


is having its second anniversary party and celebrating with a vintage clothing sale, music, art, food and booze. Stop by to hear music by Shock!, see photographs by Terri Loewenthal, snack, drink and, of course, shop.

SUNDAY


This clothing, accessories, books, media and non-perishable food exchange promises clean stuff in full working order. In the name of reducing domestic and consumer waste, bring a bag of your own stuff and browse other people's things while sipping on beer or sangria.
