Park Commission to Hear Updates on Lantern Project, Dracena Park Bridge Next Week

Piedmont Park Commission members will hear updates on a number of current city projects when they meet Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 5:30 p.m. in the city Hall council chambers, 120 Vista Ave.

Those projects include:

—The "Light the Lantern" project for the entrance pillar on Grand Avenue;

—A proposal to build a bridge in Dracena Quarry Park, an Eagle Scout project by Piedmont High School student Cole Becker.

—The Ramona Ronada Triangle traffic calming project.

Commissioners will also receive the maintenance report for June and July on park and median activity by city staff.
